What We’re Building

PowerSpike is building the world’s first Influencer Exchange.

Like a traditional ad exchange, where buyers can place bids for ads in real-time, PowerSpike’s technology instead enables brands to bid on influencers. We’re taking the simple and streamlined experience of programmatic advertising, and combining it with the authenticity of influencer marketing to deliver instantly scalable influencer campaigns. Think Google Ads meets influencers.

Currently focused on the gaming space, our technology enables brands like Intuit Quickbooks and Activision Blizzard to launch influencer campaigns across our network of over 19,000+ Twitch streamers, just like they’d make a media buy.

Your work will directly help influencers pursue their dreams and assist some of the biggest brands in the world in streamlining their influencer marketing efforts.

What We Need

PowerSpike is looking for dedicated, passionate, go-getting, and data-driven Director of Marketing. Working closely with the head of product and reporting to the CEO, the director of marketing will build and optimize scalable marketing/customer acquisition systems and funnels to drive inbound brand leads and influencer sign-ups, produce valuable and unique content to fuel inbound marketing strategies and SEO presence, and work closely with both sides of our marketplace (streamers and brands) to gather data and ensure good experiences.

Simply put, we believe in hiring A+ people, giving them clarity in what success means, and then supporting them to their fullest potential.

Responsibilities Include

  • Frequently testing new marketing channels to increase user acquisition and lead generation.
  • Maintaining and frequently posting to PowerSpike’s social media accounts
  • Creating content and engaging with PowerSpike’s streamers on community platforms (i.e. Discord)
  • Responding quickly and resolving help requests through PowerSpike customer support chat with the help of our development team
  • Creating valuable, unique blog articles and email content geared towards Twitch streaming, Twitch influencer marketing, and influencer marketing as a whole on a weekly basis
  • Developing content offers (ex. Whitepapers, eBooks) to generate new leads from inbound marketing efforts
  • Developing and maintaining email marketing and marketing automation systems to nurture leads into customers and nurture customers into brand advocates
  • Setting and achieving quarterly marketing goals and KPIs
  • Working closely with development teams, sales teams, and journalists to create and spread materials for product launches
  • Working closely with sales and end-users (streamers and brands) to develop high-quality sales and customer development materials
  • Working with development and product teams to create on-platform marketing opportunities (ex. Referral programs).
  • Assisting campaign managers in managing PowerSpike’s streamer partner program

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in marketing/community management.
  • Working knowledge of popular advertising platforms (ex. Google Adwords, Linkedin Ads, Facebook Ads)
  • Knowledge of content marketing, email marketing, and SEO practices
  • Strong English writing and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of common inbound/outbound marketing practices and tools
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and other common analytics tools (ex. Advertising pixels)
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced early-stage startup environment
  • Ability to learn fast, adapt quickly, wear many hats, and hit the ground running

  • You have experience targeting/selling into agencies or CPG brands
