Role Qualifications:
- Resume & Demo reel required; should display strong rigging & animation skills for both humans and non-humanoids
- Proven understanding of animating realistic human motion
- Experience animating melee combat for gameplay (non-mocap)
- Able to converse in English (typically via email & Slack)
- Solid communicator
- Strong knowledge of traditional animation principles
- Position is Remote β must own software licenses & hardware needed to create art. *If not, please discuss upfront what software you would need.
- Must be qualified to work as a contractor for a US-based company
- At least five years experience (indie or AAA) in a Rigging or Animation role
Responsibilities:
- Rig & animate humans and aliens for our sci-fi SRPG roguelite
- Work with design & art team to ensure animations support the gameplay experience
- Iterate with art & design team as needed to ensure animations fit with theme
- Give feedback on production readiness of individual models (such as issues with topology or model construction)
Nice to have:
- Experience with Unity
- Passionate about video games and sci-fi
Looking for between 25 - 35 hours per week.
