PlayVS is building the leading infrastructure and official platform for high school and college esports. We work with game publishers, high school governing bodies and collegiate programs to build and operate sanctioned leagues across the country. Our software products tie everything together, creating the world’s first full-stack sports platform. PlayVS is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and is rapidly expanding.
Overview
PlayVS is in search of a VP of Marketing. In this role, you’ll oversee every aspect of the marketing process, from idea generation through to campaign execution. You’ll lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally to build and grow the PlayVS brand & content portfolio, scale user growth, and drive engagement with the platform.
What You'll Do
- Oversee Acquisition, Lifecycle, Brand Marketing and Creative teams
- Provide strategic & tactical leadership around: Performance Marketing, Product Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, and Content & Creative Marketing
- Define and manage marketing budget across: Acquisition, Brand, Content, and Product Marketing initiatives
- Collaborate cross functionality with design, product, operations, and engineering to align on goals & initiatives
- Develop, execute, and own all growth & marketing strategies and outcomes
- Create a fun, safe, collaborative, and high energy work culture while developing the next generation of leaders at PlayVS
What You'll Need
- 12+ years of experience in consumer-internet marketing
- Strong track record of leading high-performing teams and high EQ
- Analytical background, including ability to lead customer segmentation, pricing, and other forms of marketing research
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding results through others in a timely manner using a strong sense of focus, organization, and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships, manage a team, influence stakeholders, and inspire others
- Goal focus with a strong bias toward action
- Firm understanding of marketing measurement & attribution
- Experience and ability to create marketing budgets & forecasts
- BA/BS with an impressive academic record
- MBA or advanced degree is a plus
