The fastest-growing high school sport in America isn’t basketball or football—it’s esports—and PlayVS is the official platform for sanctioned High School esports. We offer an incredible, full-stack esport platform—game integrations, team building tools, leagues, tournaments, and more—and our software products tie everything together into a single, cohesive experience.
PlayVS is home to thousands of High School teams across the U.S. and Canada, and in early 2020, we expanded our platform to support collegiate teams as well. Our mission is to be the premier platform for amateur esports, and we're just getting started with our scholastic products. Mobile gaming is the next frontier for us at PlayVS, and the Mobile Products is leading those explorations.
We're looking for an extraordinary Product Manager to lead a cross-functional team tasked with identifying and then incubating new products within the mobile gaming space. Product Managers at PlayVS deliver the right feature at the right time. It's a hands-on, highly engaged, and detailed-oritented job. You'll define strategy for new products and features and be responsible for a large portfolio of work. You'll plan, prioritize, coordinate, drive, and deliver.
Here's what you'll get to do:
- Establish a shared vision for new mobile products across the company
- Lead a cross-functional team to incubate and launch new mobile products
- Drive the product development process—determine requirements, scope costs, develop a plan, and manage delivery
- Use behavioral research and usability studies to guide product strategy
- Define, track, and analyze key metrics to measure success
- Make key decisions and trade-offs to ensure your projects remain on schedule and are successful
- Communicate with every level of the company from individual contributors to executives
Here's what we're looking for:
- 6+ years of product management experience with consumer-facing products
- Proven track record delivering cross-functional projects on time and to specification
- Experience using data to drive product strategy and roadmapping
- Superior writing and communication skills
- Ability to present to executive audiences
- Ability to anticipate the future needs of the business and its customers
- Founder experience or experience incubating 0-1 products preferred
