We are looking for an amazing Engineering Manager to join us and help grow our team of full-stack developers. The ideal candidate is passionate about product development, leading and mentoring engineers, and shaping the future of PlayVS. Here's what you'll get to do:

  • Lead a team of engineers to deliver product features and solutions for internal teams
  • Mentor and coach a strong team of engineers
  • Work closely with other teams across the organization
  • Use your technical expertise to level up and raise the bar across the engineering team
  • Make technical decisions and collaborate with tech leads on design and architectureHire engineers and grow the team

What we're looking for:

  • 1+ years of experience as a people manager
  • 7+ years of industry experience
  • Experience with developing web applications, APIs, modern web stacks
  • A desire to coach and level up the engineering organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Ability to work cross functionally with product managers and designers
  • Strong organizational skills, including work estimation, risk management, prioritization, roadmap planning, and decision making

Nice to have:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Experience with Typescript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, AWS
  • Experience building internal applications
  • Knowledge of the esports industry
