PlayVS is building the infrastructure and official platform for high school esports. We work with game publishers and high school governing bodies to build and operate sanctioned leagues across the country. PlayVS is headquartered in Santa Monica, CA and is rapidly expanding.

As the Community Manager, you’ll help us build strong relationships with players, teachers, coaches, parents, and members of industry associations across 20K high schools in North America. You’ll work directly with schools and coaches and players to provide support for their growing esports programs. This includes helping to start a new program, or assisting coaches and administrators in growing their existing program. Producing and supporting quality esports programs are your goals, and you’ll be on the front lines of our mission. You’ll have direct insight to league data and help create new ways to improve the player experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about the many benefits esports will bring to high schools, and would have no problem discussing those benefits on a daily basis.

You’ll help us:

  • Support schools in building new esports programs
  • Create programs to help coaches succeed in building their teams
  • Provide coaching strategies and trainings for supported games
  • Communicate directly with players, coaches, and school administrators
  • Help schools prepare for gameday
  • Analyze and report league data
  • Create and update coach and player resources
  • Develop strong relationships with our coaches

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience with high schools
  • 1+ years experience with esports
  • Passion for youth esports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Google Apps and Microsoft Office products
  • Expert at building and maintaining relationships
  • Must work and communicate extremely well with a team
  • Strong ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects at one time
  • Familiar with professional and amateur esports communities and platforms
  • Experience supporting organizations (a plus)
  • Experience training teachers/coaches (a plus)
  • Experience running a high school esports program (a plus)
