Role Overview:

We are looking for a Web Analyst who is proficient and self-sufficient in analysing a wide range of reporting and analysis requests across PlayStation web domains.

Responsible for fulfilling reporting and analysis requests across all areas of the global business and will provide insightful analyses to advise and improve the user experience for playstation.com.

You will have technical knowledge around analytics implementation and tag management systems to solve and validate analytics updates on playstation.com. Knowledge of additional analysis skills such as R, Python, and Excel are desirable.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Lead and respond to analytics requests from internal and external partners by providing analyses for specific business questions or by providing dashboards for insightful reporting
  • Proactively monitor web data for both recommending site improvements and identifying issues
  • Able to understand and determine cause and effect for changes to site performance, and then suggest improvements
  • Continuously assess user behaviour across the site to maintain expertise of web data trends
  • Ensure web platform maintains the required tracking and testing systems in place by performing regular analytics QA tasks for site releases
  • Requirement gathering for new modules/pages
  • Maintain organised documentation of analyses, processes, and requests
  • Stay ahead of analytics technology and suggest improvements as applicable

What we’re looking for:

  • Experienced with web analytics tools, Adobe Analytics (preferred) or Google Analytics
  • Superb experience with web data visualisation tools, such as Adobe Workspace or Google Data Studio
  • Proficient with Adobe Launch or other tag management solutions
  • Basic understanding of data layer designs
  • Proficient with web analytics debugging and QA methodologies
  • Experience with Excel and data aggregation methods
  • Validated ability to assess for data integrity across reporting and analysis
  • Proven ability to determine cause and effect for changes in site performance and successfully communicate solutions
  • Deep understanding of the pros/cons of common web KPIs, and how to balance them to assess success
  • Ability to contribute to process improvement by proactively identifying and providing solutions to gaps in processes
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a distributed team
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry (seasonality, major event drivers) is preferred
  • Phenomenal presentation and data story telling skills at all levels
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with many different personalities

Preferred:

  • Basic understanding of JavaScript
  • Experience with R or Python
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology
