Role Overview:

A vital role within the Global Third Party Relations (GTPR) / Global Partner Operations (GPOPs) teams responsible for developing and administering training programs for partners as well as internal employees.

The successful candidate will assess training and development needs for the broader GPDR organisation around our PlayStation Partners toolchain, assist individuals and groups to absorb new skills and knowledge, create training manuals or documentation, develop training plans for new tools/features/processes/policies, present in-person training sessions, and monitor/report on training for effectiveness.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Create and own a yearly training roadmap, including physical and remote training sessions.
  • Report to executive leadership on the success or learnings of every training deployment
  • Deploy and utilise a wide variety of training methods and tools.
  • Become knowledgeable to a deep degree on the tools being used and the user experience / user journey.
  • Drive for improvements to tools where appropriate and relevant and be a partner advocate.
  • Monitor costs against any relevant training budget.
  • Develop and tailor broad training programs to suit the needs of individual teams and partners.
  • Conduct effective on-boarding sessions for new team members in relation to tools.
  • Constantly review training plans to ensure they remain relevant, timely and effective; recommend and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of current training trends and best practices.
  • Provide robust metrics on the success of training using a variety of sampling methods (from tools-based metrics to surveys to direct responses, etc.)
  • Work closely with key business stakeholders to socialise and develop training materials and pro-actively identify areas of current knowledge weakness, building appropriate plans to mitigate and address.
  • Gather constant feedback, modify plans accordingly and be agile and willing to adapt to changing industry conditions.
  • Work as a key member of the wider Project Delivery team to coordinate and discuss strategy around training as part of broader Change planning.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Genuine passion for video games, technology, and end user experience
  • Broad awareness of the games market, current and future games platforms
  • Patient, persistent, discrete, pragmatic/realistic, and diplomatic
  • A starter and finisher with ability to persevere, package ideas into strategies, champion ideas and work through transformational change to deliver results even with levels of ambiguity present.
  • Data-centric and analytical with good planning skills and fine attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills including ability to clearly communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experienced in managing multiple active projects and balancing resource in line with business priorities.
  • Creative and energetic team player who embraces change and a desire to continually improve.
  • Strong ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships with key global stakeholders.
  • Able to challenge how things are done at all levels and provide respectful but clear suggestions for improvement on process and operations with an impartial and holistic perspective.
  • Relevant work experience as a training manager or lead
  • Proven track record in designing and executing successful training programs with both small and large groups, as well as dedicated, bespoke training for key partners/clients
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (classroom style, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.)
  • Able to work with technical stakeholders and translate very technical terms, processes or concepts into training which is easy to digest for less technical end users.
  • A clear understanding of cultural differences around the globe and ability to adapt training plans to accommodate.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a global team with international colleagues with ability to collaborate effectively across regions, disciplines and time zones
  • Understanding of digital content management and publishing processes
  • Broad understanding of video game development processes
  • Seasoned traveller able to operate flexibly and effectively when remote

Measurables:

  • Creation of training materials (including socialisation with stakeholders and managing through sign off and localisation process)
  • Coordination with teams in Asia to support and coordinate local training sessions replicating the same materials.
  • Delivery of high-quality training materials to track and drive initiatives forward
  • Partner and internal user feedback regarding effectiveness of delivered training.
  • Delivery of excellent internal communications to keep all stakeholders fully aware of the changes and updates to any individual project.
  • Successful execution and delivery of identified projects to support GPOPs initiatives.
  • Delivery of additional “special projects” as assigned from time to time.
  • Meeting or exceeding the Global Partner Operations team KPIs, Goals and Objectives and overall Mission / Vision.
  • Upholding and representing the GTPR Core Values
  • Working collaboratively, across regions and org boundaries, as part of a combined GPDR team and wider SIE team
