As we continue to build and expand this online platform for physical goods, we are looking for a technical program manager who can own key areas, drive the engineering vision and build the future state.

We’re looking for a hard-working Technical Program Manager who is eager to embrace the journey of building that next generation of gaming with us, one piece at a time.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will drive a seamless development & operational delivery that will delight our passionate consumers. You will work in an agile and highly collaborative environment with our globally distributed engineering teams, product management, quality assurance, and operations. You will possess outstanding project management skills and a solid understanding of modern development tools and methodologies.

You will have a balance of people, organizational, and technical skills and will be comfortable facilitating large sized project workshops and processes, enabling a cross-functional effort spread across multiple geographical locations.

Responsibilities

  • This is a strategic role and will have the responsibility of leading the engineering for the Data & Shared Services Enablement Team.

  • Define, implement, and maintain critical processes to ensure a continuous, consistent, and streamlined workflow.

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to help establish the product roadmaps with clear goals and milestones.

  • Leverage people and soft skills to generate a positive atmosphere of excitement and collaboration towards delighting customers and pushing the limits of technology.

  • Leads initiatives with teams that may include other Project Managers, Engineering, Design, Product and Operations personnel.

  • Find innovative ways and solutions to problems; Simplify and communicate sophisticated problems through communication to inspire changes in behavior.

  • Assemble internal and external feedback, identify areas for improvement and implement the appropriate responses.

  • Effectively communicates with technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Technical Program Management in an agile software development environment.

  • Strong communication, and cross-group collaboration skills.

  • The ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, and shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions.

  • Knowledge of industry best practices for building large scale and highly reliable operations for data tiers and services.

  • Experience managing projects and dependencies across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.

  • Strong analytical skills and a sense of ownership.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent judgment, organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective at working with geographically remote and culturally diverse teams

  • Technical proficiency and background

  • Experience with crafting product roadmaps

Bonus

  • Prior role as a software developer, tester, or technical product manager

  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence and Google Docs

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role is eligible for SIE’s top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products. The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$132,200—$198,400 USD
