Strategic Planning MBA Intern

San Mateo, CA

Sony PlayStation is seeking a Strategic Planning and Development MBA Intern at our San Mateo, CA location. You will join the Portfolio and Strategy team at PlayStation Studios – home for our world-class development studios including Naughty Dog, SIE Santa Monica and Insomniac Games who brought into life games such as God of War and The Last of Us.

Our Portfolio and Strategy team is responsible for the PlayStation Studios’ portfolio plan as well as the long-term strategy of PlayStation Studios. This internship is a unique opportunity to work on long-term strategic projects that help set the future of PlayStation Studios and the projects it tackles. You will work with the team to help strengthen our products and business strategies with valuable analysis, data, and consumer insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate and implement plans crafted to increase existing business and capture new opportunities through M&A or internal development
  • Support key strategic decisions
  • Perform research to identify new business opportunities to support PlayStation Studios' business expansion into new areas and assess existing lines of business
  • Brainstorm and evaluate opportunities across the industry, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Bring your own ideas to develop!

Qualifications:

  • Current MBA student
  • Outstanding PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Investigate, discover, and comprehend diverse sets of information to tackle a complex problem and convert them into a simple presentable solution with a clear messaging
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity to steer his / her own work product and network within the company
  • Highly motivated with outstanding verbal and written communication skills and be able to work with others at all levels and functions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, working through uncertainty under various time constraints
  • Attention to detail, organization skills, and strong work ethic and ability to handle confidentiality
  • A clear passion for content, media, entertainment, technology and / or gaming
