The Role
We are looking for a full-stack software engineer to join our established, high-performance team! We employ Agile methodologies, use modern software development paradigms, and focus on continuous improvement in the delivery of high-quality applications for our customers. This is a great opportunity to be part of one of the world’s most recognized brands and to collaborate with PlayStation engineering teams across North America, as well as Japan and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain Rest APIs.
- Participate in Code reviews and Design Meetings.
- Debug code issues in new and existing applications.
- Develop web application features in existing code base, can be either front end, back end or full stack.
- Have fun at work and engage with colleges!
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrable skills with full stack software development.
- Expert programming skills in Java and the Spring Framework.
- Experience with Node.js
- Strong JavaScript skills.
- Ability to create user interfaces and components that are modular, testable, and maintainable with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Angular.js or Ember.js
- Experience with one or more NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or Redis.
- Experience with MySQL or other relational database systems.
- Experience and comfort building cloud-native applications.
- Understand virtualization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture and familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Familiar with tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Jenkins, JIRA, Git etc.

- Enjoys working in a multifaceted, dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Contribution to the open-source community (i.e. blogs, source code, etc).
- You are not afraid to challenge the status quo and think outside the box.
