Role overview:

  • We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Manager to join the global PlayStation services team that manages PlayStation Plus – the world’s largest game subscription service with over 47M subscribers – and the rapidly growing PlayStation Now service
  • The candidate will play a role in planning the future of the business and help generate insight to the commercial, content and customer teams
  • Close collaboration with internal teams – including analytics, hardware and software business owners, marketing, finance – is key to delivering the best outcomes for players, partners and our business
  • Responsible for developing a team to deliver annual budgets, quarterly and monthly forecasts, mid and long range plans, business analysis and insights

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a team that deliver global flash, quarterly, full year and 3 year forecasts for PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now
  • Working with data scientists to iteratively improve the accuracy of the forecasting model
  • Empowering decisions with forecasting and reporting
  • Building and driving a culture of improvement and growth
  • Understanding the PlayStation business (Services, Store, Retail, Console) and key senior stakeholders to create long term business plans
  • Managing a team of 4 analysts and data scientists, building new processes and models to generate automated monthly forecasts
  • Leverage the latest technology to automate repetitive tasks and innovate in modelling to drive efficiency and accuracy in forecasting
  • Understand data flows, available technology and analytical platforms to continuously improve forecasts and reports
  • Close collaboration with commercial teams to overlay plans and deliver an annual budget and mid-range plan that helps the business track performance and progress
  • Supporting wider teams with modelling and analysis behind pricing, partnership and potential investment decisions

What we're looking for:

  • Experience forecasting a subscription business
  • Passionate gamer and/or experience within the Gaming industry an advantage
  • Consistent record of innovation and delivering continuous improvement in previous roles
  • Ability to navigate successfully across a complex organizational and technical landscape
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for influencing cross-functional stakeholders up to Exec level
  • Creative and energetic leader who embraces change and a desire to continually improve
  • Worked as part of a team that crosses multiple countries and time-zones
  • Patient, persistent, pragmatic and diplomatic
  • International travel will be required as well as a flexible approach to working hours to support global business operations
  • Ability to lead individuals in creating and executing the best solutions for players, partners and the business
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt quickly and balance multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from a credible university
  • BSc/BA in Business/ Economics, Science or Mathematics preferred
  • Strong Excel skills required
