Senior Demand Planning Analyst - LATAM
San Mateo, CA
The Senior Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for the development of field demand plans that will enable Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) LATAM region to meet sales and growth objectives. This role will own the monthly and ad-hoc business analysis, reporting to LATAM business owners. In addition, this will play an important role in the alignment with cross-functional partners such as Sales, Marketing, & Operations to achieve all objectives. Responsibilities:
- Communicate assortment changes, assumptions and targets with Demand planning, Sales and Marketing internal and external teams in each LATAM regional office.
- Roll up field sales forecast and create regional demand plans in IBP.
- Challenge filed teams forecast based on historical sales and market dynamics.
- Own the filed forecast roll up and maintain it in IBP system to support SIE business decision making in LATAM region.
- Maintain current and long-term demand forecasts in IBP required to drive production and inventory planning requirements.
- Manage software allocation for new releases, collector editions and special promotions.
- Measure a variance and report actual vs. planned performance by customer and product family.
- Recommend adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
- Assist LATAM Senior Manager with the creating of the monthly consensus forecast.
- Development and implementation sales reports for Sell-in, Sell-out, Sell-thru and filed Inventory status.
- Lead the regional sell thru & sell-out data weekly process and accuracy.
- Point person to provide to LATAM management ad-hoc reporting
- Generate product seasonality and promotions analysis
- Identify, communicate and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in the Demand Planning process.
- Assist LATAM Sr Manger in Budget development.
- Support LATAM Sr. Manager in preparing for business meeting reviews.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years related experience with a background in forecasting, sales and planning.
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance, Marketing, Operations, Business or related field.
- Extensive experience in spreadsheet and data analysis.
- Proactive self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge in Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency for analysis and modeling and creative thinking.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills.
- Position requires travel throughout the Latin America region. Up to 15% travel may be required.
Desired Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or equivalent education.
- Knowledge in Supply Chain ERP systems.
- Experience in the video game industry.
- Experience in Latin America Business.
- Familiarity with Latin America specific logistics, operations, and tax structures is a plus.
- Multilingual in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
