As a Network Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for network deployment processes and execution. You will work closely with remote Network Engineers, Network Operations and Datacenter Operations to turn up, configure, test and deliver Network platforms across POPs and Datacenters worldwide.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deployment, installation, integration, maintenance and documentation of new global network related sites, services and facilities as well as supporting existing hardware in multiple datacenter locations
  • Work closely with the Data Center Operations and Network Engineering teams on the turn-up and integration of new network services and augmentation of existing network services in live, production environments
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in new and existing production network environments
  • Contribute to the design and enhancement of the global backbone and datacenter infrastructure
  • Participate in developing policies, procedures and technical reports associated with operating and maintaining the global network
  • Assist Data Center Operations and Network Engineering Teams as needed
  • Ensure accurate inventory information for all network equipment and deployments

Required Experience:

  • BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience deploying and/or maintaining large scale networks and working in live, production environments
  • Proficiency with Juniper MX, QFX, SRX and EX series platforms and with Junos operating system, including upgrading, configuring and troubleshooting
  • 3-5 years of experience with the following:
    • Optical network transport and all optical network protocols, capacities, interface and optic types and cabling.
    • High capacity, global backhaul network services turn-up and troubleshooting experience with network carriers and service providers (10G, 40G, 100G)
    • Interface and chassis diagnostics
    • Structured Cabling
  • Strong installation and integration skills, including equipment installation, cabling, and cable dressing/management and documentation/asset tracking.
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, Ethernet, IP Addressing/Subnetting, VLANs, IPV4 and IPV6 etc.)
  • Experience with large chassis integration
  • Experience with deploying server environments
  • Experience with accessing equipment through serial consoles
  • Familiarity with github
  • High aptitude for technology
  • Highly refined organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
  • High energy and an intense desire to positively impact the business
  • Ability to rack equipment up to 50 lbs unassisted

Up to 30% domestic and international travel is required with this position.
