Role overview:

Reporting into the Head of Compliance, the SIEE Legal & Business Affairs department has a key role in advancing and defining the commercial strategy of the PlayStation® business in EMEA and ANZ, as well as dealing with the commercial and legal aspects of all transactions and the enforcement of its intellectual property and brand protection.

What you'll be doing:

Advising and supporting all aspects of SIEE's corporate compliance programme. For example:

  • Handling compliance policy, process, and tool development and implementation
  • Identifying and advising on improvements to existing policies, processes and tools based on the latest compliance trends, standard methodologies and national and international regulatory expectations
  • Performing regulatory risk assessments and handling follow-up actions
  • Producing and delivering training for the business
  • Supporting customer and supplier due diligence processes
  • Helping raise the profile of the team's work and assist in embedding a culture of compliance in the business

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive knowledge of corporate compliance regulation, including anti-bribery and corruption laws, anti-slavery laws and supply chain regulation
  • Team worker with a sense of humour
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills along with an ability to develop and build good working relationships with other teams and departments
  • The ability to prioritise and lead projects from inception through to completion with a strong attention to detail
  • Energetic and commercial approach to work and advice
  • Creative problem solver
  • Understanding of data protection laws and ESG regulation
  • Knowledge of and interest in the videogames industry
  • Passion and enthusiasm for technology
  • Proficient user of standard office software
  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years' experience
