Role: GFQA Compliance Tester (GFQA)

Role Overview:

Working a 4 on 4 off shift you will work as part of a team to identify and investigate all bugs and provide accurate reporting of your findings. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about Gaming and have an eye for discovering opportunities to improve compliance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Thoroughly test all submissions to ensure compliance with the Technical Requirements Checklist across all supported platforms, including PSVR.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of SIEE GFQA testing practices and procedures
  • Quickly learn any updated GFQA procedures and/or TRC requirements and alter testing accordingly
  • Raise any issues with test procedure and processes to Team Leaders, offering solutions where applicable.
  • Support and assist in the training of any member of staff when necessary
  • Check the content of applications for Legal issues, copyrights and age rating issues
  • Produce manual functionality reports, to ensure that they are correct against submitted game code
  • Bug Testing
  • Ensure all bugs are identified and thoroughly investigated
  • Ensure all bug information, including classification, TRC/test cases, etc. are accurately recorded
  • Check existing bugs against newer versions of code
  • Complete allocated work within given timeframes
  • Provide accurate progress updates to direct line manager, when requested
  • Ensure all relevant GFQA procedures are followed
  • Comply with departmental security policy at all times and be alert to any security issues that may occur
  • Ensure company property is correctly treated and report any misuse to direct line manager
  • Behave in an appropriate manner in the workplace
  • Keep up to date with all PlayStation platforms, their respective TRCs and requirements.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge on the use of key GFQA systems, such as SHIP and Unity.

What we’re looking for:

  • Display excellent attention to detail, maintaining diligence and focus for extended periods
  • Be methodical and analytical, displaying excellent problem identification and investigative skills
  • Holds level 2 (or equivalent) in English
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Be open and willing to adapt to change, for example: test team changes, process changes, documentation changes.
  • Be able to cope under pressure.
  • Computer literate, with experience with various software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Technical and Professional Knowledge – The ability to show, understand and bring an appropriate level of expertise to the role
  • Quality and Standards - The ability to achieve high standards and quality in work
  • Creativity – The ability to innovate and establish creative solutions as and when needed
  • SIEE Awareness – The ability to show and apply understanding of the organisation to daily working life

Other:

  • If required the job holder will be expected to work outside normal office hours if necessary.
  • The job holder will be expected to execute any reasonable additional requests or instructions issued by Management, Supervisors and Team Leaders.
  • Team flexibility – must be flexible when working with/in other teams.
  • When required, ensuring a paper trail is kept for evidence, whilst testing or whilst producing other work for a line manager.
  • Ensuring that when there is down time in the team, that this is communicated to a line manager, to ensure that the team is correctly at capacity.
