Reporting into the Senior Manager of Environment and Technology Compliance, this role will be responsible for implementing environment and health and safety programmes within our European offices. The Environment and Technical Compliance team are part of PlayStation’s Operations function, and take a hands-on approach engaging directly and managing activities with business managers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage the Environmental Management System and site environmental compliance for SIEE:
- Conduct annual environmental review -coordinate the data collection from all sites, territories and relevant third parties
- Conduct legal review – maintain and keep abreast of new legislation and report in legal review
- Organise project team meetings including presentations, minutes and follow up actions
- Roll-out new programmes to meet SIE targets
- Maintain and improve existing processes and programmes
- Manage the collection of kpi data from facilities and ensure the environmental records are up to date and maintained
- Analysis kpi data to show progress to targets on a quarterly basis
- Review sites activities, compliance status and performance annually
- Communicate with VP of Operations and Facilities Manager to ensure facilities implement procedures
- Maintain and develop communication to all sites to help achieve targets
- Provide environmental training and communications including HR inductions, one-to-one and cleaner/contractor training. Arrange other training e.g. Marketing/substance compliance. Create supplementary guidelines to go with training
- Review new waste suppliers, conduct waste supplier site audits as necessary
- Maintain intranet system and improve the recording of waste transfer notes
- Handle internal and external enquiries and follow up actions
- Arrange volunteer days for all sites, monitor other CSR activities and report them to SCEI
- Ensure compliance with waste laws
- Investigate new legislation impacting sites eg ESOS / CRC/ SECR and develop and implement compliance procedures
- Implement new procedures to ensure ESOS compliance.
- Health and safety
- Create a legal register showing legal requirements and what steps need to be undertaken to ensure compliance
- Advise VP of Operations and Facilities of corporate and legal requirements
- Implement H&S Training material and Share point site for employees
- Implement H&S management system and procedures for H&S and implement.
- Track and monitor H&S Kpis
- Audit H&S system.
- Product environmental compliance
- Packaging and product compliance including promotional and 3rd party items
- Ensure all packaging, products and third party items have the required marking and provide approval
- Ensure all first party / third party and licensed products and merchandise are compliant and do not surpass substance limits
- Train new marketing members in substance compliance process
- Send items off for testing / check results also check test reports from supplier tested items
- Provide approval to marketing department/ Operations department and third party relations department
- Work with and check territories merchandise – obtain items for testing, analyse test report and provide approval
- Approve new supplier request and ensure relevant suppliers provide signed declarations of compliance
What We're Looking For
- Relevant undergraduate degree
- NEBOSH is ideal
- Minimum 5 year’s relevant EHS experience in a corporate environment with good track record
- Working with stakeholders in complex matrix organisation
- IT skills - (Proficient in all of Microsoft Office )
- Good presentation skills
- An interest in or knowledge of the games industry – advantageous but not essential
