Role: E-Commerce Content Manager

Role overview:

The PlayStation Store & Services (PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Now) businesses have continued to deliver substantial growth and represents a significant proportion of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s overall revenue.

It is also evolving rapidly towards new business models alongside dynamic changes in the Games industry, including the US launch of PlayStation Direct, a direct to consumer business, in September 2019. As a part of this evolution, we are looking to build on the successful US launch by extending PlayStation Direct into Europe. We are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit, interested in working at the forefront of online retail experiences aimed at exceeding the expectations of the gaming community.

This role will partner with the E-Commerce Commercial Manager and other functional leaders to drive content strategy and execution of the PS Direct Europe business. This position requires an agile, collaborative self-starter able to adapt to an evolving business environment, working in a cross-functional team environment. This role plays a key part in the evolution of the content pipeline and platform capabilities as the business scales.

The candidate will need to be flexible and open to evolving roles and responsibilities aligned to the changing needs of this business unit as it grows and expands.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead end-to-end content management activities including content acquisition, onboarding, authoring, publishing, and optimizing presentation of products available in the D2C store
  • Have a deep understanding of product portfolio to create, manage and optimize PDP experience across product lines including hardware, software, peripherals, etc. throughout the product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with the EBO Supply Chain and Finance teams and Commercial Lead to ensure that necessary SKU information is accurately submitted to launch products on-time and priced correctly
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing and Legal to ensure proper localization of metadata, assets and ad-copy and to enhance the customer experience
  • Collaborate closely with the Merchandising and Commercial Leads to ensure appropriate coverage of the product catalog, through establishing common strategies and tactics
  • Be the subject matter expert point of contact with Product Management / Engineering in developing Content onboarding capabilities (improving operational efficiencies, enhancing platform capabilities, etc.)
  • Responsible for building-out content in preparation for EU D2C store launch. Will need to effectively manage work across multiple time zones to support global team structure and activities
  • Partner with the Business Insights & Analytics Lead to establish a framework and approach to optimization of content onboarding process and related conversion KPIs
  • Some domestic and/or international travel may be required

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years’ experience in e-commerce roles, preferably for a retailer of consumer electronic goods, video game software, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience using e-commerce tools and platforms, preferably SAP Commerce Cloud/Hybris and Adobe Experience Manager 6.5 (CMS, Experience Fragments, DAM)
  • Proven track record of using data to influence and inform decisions
  • Passionate about video games industry and familiarity with PlayStation products
  • Entrepreneurial, with high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity. Can function efficiently with limited resources in a dynamic, startup-like environment under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with different organizations and teams
  • Can maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (Adobe Analytics, SAP Business Objects, Tableau)
