Department overview:

In Game Analytics, we work with some of the best game studios in the world -- responsible for developing some of the most recognisable and ambitious console games and franchises on PlayStation, including Uncharted, The Last of Us, Horizon, God of War, and Gran Turismo. We provide end-to-end analytics services for PlayStation Studios and use data to help them make their amazing games even better. We are looking for talented people to join us in pushing the boundaries of game analytics for PlayStation games.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll work in our cross-disciplinary team to scale our platform, expand its reach, and help define and build the future of analytics for PlayStation games.

What we are looking for:

  • You are adept at writing SQL on analytics (OLAP) databases (preferably Redshift, Snowflake, or similar database)

  • Experience in transforming data model requirements into Big Data solutions

  • You have worked on a robust and efficient cloud-based data warehouse/data lake operation

  • You enjoy automating tasks, preferably in Python

  • You’re excited by Big Data projects and technology, and want to gain more experience in this area

  • An interest in exploring alternative solutions to traditional data warehousing techniques

  • A commitment to quality as a top priority, and have an interest in repeatable, testable, destructible, test-driven database development

  • A degree in Computer Science

  • Experience with AWS, Spark, source control (Git, Liquibase), Linux, Airflow

  • Experience working in or with DevOps teams

  • Familiarity with modern console games.
