Badging Coordinator

San Mateo and San Diego (Sorrento Valley)

The Badging Coordinator will maintain, audit, and improve SIE campuses security. The successful candidate is expected to create, establish, implement, and verify compliance with security systems to include: Ccure, and ServiceNow. These programs are expected to leverage technology and systems to create and maintain safe working environment for all employees. We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of both Physical Security and uses of technology to ensure the safety of the employees, visitors, and the assets of the company.


  • Analyze physical security system performance and recommend improvements

  • Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems and networks throughout the business

  • Communicate with manufacturers, vendors and technical specialists to resolve issues and to assist with the installation of new systems devices

  • Assist in training of new system users and other system support personnel on security applications

  • Maintain system privileges and maintain operator application access for all users of the security system

  • Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions

  • Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, analyze database size and perform integrity checks

  • Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis

  • Collaborate with IT to ensure network connectivity of all devices and resolve network issues

  • Assist with system programming changes as needed and create clearances for employee badge access

  • Assist with maintaining security workstation computers and servers to ensure compatibility and operability

  • Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Direct experience with access control/command center software such as; C-Cure/Exacq Vision/etc.

  • Experience with badging and access and CCTV in a corporate security environment, having a basic understanding of programming concepts for surveillance systems in a corporate environment.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective prioritization of tasks and ability to work with multiple projects at once

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPP, PSP, PMP certification, FEMA ICS or similar training

  • Experience within Command Ctr. environment (GSOC, UL, EOC)

  • Vendor management experience acting in a project management role to oversee construction and Q/A after installation
