Role overview

The PlayStation Studios QA Release Management team is looking for a dedicated professional to help support PlayStation Studios submissions across PlayStation, PC and Mobile platforms. This is an exciting role where you will have the opportunity to help the Global Release Management team shape the PlayStation console, PC and Mobile release process and experience.

As an Associate Release Manager, you will work with your peers to help deliver a professional and proactive Release Management service, tailored to customer needs, and delivered at the highest standard.

You will be part of a team of game-changers, a global collaborative team passionate about supporting products through the submission and release process. You’ll partner with inspiring and innovative game industry allies, helping us build the future of Publishing Operations in our growing multicultural and multi-region team, getting to work on ground-breaking hardware and video games.

As an Associate Release Manager, you’ll be a phenomenal teammate, and a creative problem-solver who can foster and develop business relationships and is energised by working as part of a global team.

We’re looking some to join our Release Management team based in the Liverpool office whilst supporting the wider Global Release Management team in the US. Flexible working patterns will be required to increase cross-over with the US region.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the submission and release of PlayStation Studios products across PlayStation, PC and Mobile platforms.

  • Work with your distributed team to provide Studios with effective strategies for submitting and releasing products globally across PlayStation, PC and Mobile platforms.

  • Supporting your distributed team in identifying and mitigating challenges and risk by working with internal teams and Studios.

  • Collaborate with your team, sharing your ideas and feedback on both operational day-to-day work and strategy.

  • Proactively track submission and release dates and effectively lead workload to deliver product submissions and global launches on time.

  • Gain experienced knowledge on the applications and systems critical to the path to release across PlayStation, PC and Mobile platforms.

  • Act as a point of contact for submission and release queries from departments including Global Operations, Marketing and PlayStation Studios.

  • Work with the Senior team members to become a process owner, and work alongside your distributed team and the service owner to make improvements, communicate change, and support delivery.

  • Contribute and deliver to the team’s yearly strategic goals by helping design solutions and initiatives alongside your peers.

  • Global Development Technology Group (GDTG)

  • Marketing

  • Global Store Services and Global Sales and Business Operations

  • Basic understanding of release management and publishing processes.

Nice to have - Desired qualifications/experience

  • Understanding of PlayStation and other platform knowledge

  • Appreciation of videogames.

  • Experience working in a global team

  • Project management qualifications or experience (such as ITIL and Prince2)
