Full Job Description

Since our beginning in 2009, PlayEveryWare has been collaborating with developers and publishers to bring their games to multiple platforms. We are located in Seattle, WA, which is home to one of the best communities for game development. Our goal is to build meaningful relationships, whether that is with our clients, our own team, or people throughout the community. As a Lead Platform Engineer, you will work with a team of developers through the process of bringing games to multiple platforms. We are looking for a passionate and motivated person that can handle managing several deadlines with enthusiasm. You will help create processes to enhance workflow and provide a positive impact on your team and others.

What You Will Do:

  • Work with your product manager to establish product strategy.
  • Work with program management the development team to provide breakdown and estimation of large projects.
  • Ensure coding standards and maintain efficient coding practices.
  • Find and address technical risks.
  • Develop and implement project procedures for your development team to utilize.
  • Debug existing features within a game to resolve bugs that are unique to platforms.
  • Refactor existing codebases to improve software performance and functionality.
  • Conduct code reviews to improve code quality and productivity.
  • Assist teams assigned to other projects when it is necessary as to ensure timely deliverables.

What You Have:

  • Experience developing, debugging and optimizing tools and technology for games on console.
  • Development experience in multiple game domains on consoles (rendering, networking, platform specific optimizations, memory management, and cross-platform development).
  • Experience shipping at least one professional title in a Lead Platform Engineer role or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of professional experience including C, C++, C#, and various game technologies.
  • The ability to work on a variety of projects with unique issues and requirements.
  • Ability to work in a wide variety of existing codebases with exemplary code comprehension.
  • Strong leadership, awareness, adaptability, task management, and delegation skills while managing teams.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus pay
