Player1 Events is responsible for producing, planning, promoting and delivering the Insomnia Gaming Festival as the flagship to a variety of other gaming, technology and esports events. Role Overview

  • Identify and proactively pursue relevant market opportunities for new exhibition customers, potential equipment rental clients and new B2C and B2B event activation opportunities, and non-endemic leads
  • Drive sales from both existing and new commercial leads to deliver fit-for-purpose and engaging commercial content, relevant for our flagship gaming festival and bespoke events
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
  • Ensure all sales are accurately recorded, delivered and generate a profit for the business

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a mix of new and existing partners on our Insomnia Gaming Festival and other promoted events; managing accounts and growing relationships to drive future business alongside
  • Identify and proactively pursue relevant market opportunities for new exhibition and sponsorship customers
  • Work on account management plans and closing sales for existing vendors to ensure investment in the brand, and show on show growth from clients
  • Actively seek out partners who have a bespoke event requirement where we can either run or support their activations. Manage these events from proposal through to delivery, considering all event cost possibilities and working alongside the Operations team to fulfill all client requirements
  • Source and manage clients to hire our rental fleet equipment: working with our Stock Management system and Logistics team
  • Lead on, and support the Senior Sales & Partnerships Manager, to evolve the content of shows and pitch commercial ideas to partners
  • Achieve activity and revenue targets for sales in line with the strategy
  • Attend industry/trade events and conferences to promote the brand and generate relevant new business leads
  • Regular reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances.
  • Work alongside the Sales & Partnerships Operations Manager to capture all conversations and cost potentials on our reporting systems
  • Once business is won, accurately brief and hand over client requirements to the operations team, and be on hand to assist to fulfil all client requirements
  • Liaise with the Marketing team to ensure all partner commitments are delivered
  • At events, support and tend to clients, problem solving where necessary

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven history of meeting or exceeding commercial targets
  • Experience of building event concepts and an understanding of the relevant costs
  • Ability to create opportunities for non-endemic brands to have authentic activity at Insomnia
  • Sound working knowledge of game industry events
  • Salesforce (or equivalent) competency is desirable
  • A self-starter who takes responsibility for their targets

Weโ€™re currently working from home and likely to remain so for the rest of 2021. Once we are settled, with a base office (likely between Junction 4 and 14 of the M3 corridor), we expect to have a hybrid model of office and home working days.
