About this Role

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for leadership and hands-on support for the Corporate Budgets and Forecasts, as well as ad hoc strategic financial analyses. You will help develop excellent financial reporting processes and policies to help prepare us for future growth. You will assist our product teams in making informed decisions around important matters while maintaining accounting compliance. Your work involves partnering with a diverse global team. This is an essential role to the company and will help develop strategic decisions and improvements with different organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the financial planning and forecasting process for Playco, promoting collaboration amongst team members while ensuring appropriate investment leading to the achievement of desired financial results
  • Support the process to improve historic reporting with a view to provide better information for Playco decision making at the Business Unit and Corporate levels
  • Develop executive summary presentations and monthly management reporting and analysis packages to support strategic decisions
  • Work closely with Business Units and departments to drive enterprise level strategic planning
  • Drive improvements to the financial reporting to track and analyze business unit and departmental costs and their impact on the company’s overall performance
  • Assist, where necessary, the accounting team on the month-end and quarter-end close processes
  • Complete ad hoc financial modeling and analysis supporting platform and game projects and fundraising activities

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or international equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP preferred
  • Must possess strong finance skills, analytical ability, and solid business acumen
  • Experience with global growth companies in technology or entertainment
  • Experience reviewing complex legal contracts and evaluating business, operational, and accounting effects
  • Project management skills with experience working on several fast-moving projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across organizations and utilize resources effectively
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word are required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and acute attention to detail
  • Possess a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
