The Pittsburgh Knights are the region’s first professional esports organization. Our mission is to carry on the tradition of Pittsburgh sports by playing with grit, intelligence, integrity, and teamwork; that’s just as true for our staff as it is for our players. Since launching in December 2017, we have quickly grown to represent over 30 players in 6 different titles with staff and talent from around the world - and we’re just getting started. In December 2018 we announced our partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers and our operations are currently being incubated in their facilities. As a member of our team, you will play a role in building a top tier gaming organization and making Pittsburgh a full-fledged esports destination. Responsibilities:

  • Interact with team members (end-users, testers, distributors, analysts and project/release managers) in a team-oriented fashion
  • Provide end-user application support
  • Adhere to web security best practices
  • You will test and debug issues challenging your investigative skills.
  • You will create new software and add or modify features to make the system easier to use

Requirements:

  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
  • Must have computer programming/ software development skills
  • Ideally, you would have experience with version control (e.g. apache, mercurial, git) and be comfortable with different programming languages and web frameworks
  • Understanding of web-related technologies (e.g. JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ruby, Python, etc.)
  • We'd love to work with someone who already considers themselves a computer science guru, someone who has been known to ramble on about algorithms, data structures and design patterns
