Position Purpose
The Senior Tester I is responsible for testing specific projects under the guidance and direction of the Lead Tester and QA Manager. You will work within a team located on-site at our office in Eugene, Oregon.
Essential Job Functions
- Test multiple task lists and test cases and respond to the team or testing lead with pass/fail or other indicators
- Duplicate the mindset of typical and/or atypical users while dissecting the game methodically to locate even hidden bugs
- Log articulate and detailed bugs into database using precise and detailed descriptions and the steps required to reproduce the bugs
- Identify a bug's "root cause" whenever possible
- Ensure timely response on requests for more information, and proper bug flow
- Track and re-test all existing bugs regularly, and update the bug database accordingly
- Regularly re-test all elements in the game as directed by the testing lead
- Verify that bugs marked "fixed" in the database are indeed fixed, before closing the bug
- Re-test closed bugs that are potentially affected by changes to tuning and functionality
- Follow rigorous procedures for testing the regression of bugs, with particular attention to possible side stream or knock-on bugs
- Notify appropriate team members of verified bugs; reproduce bugs for programmers and other team members
- Assist other projects as directed by the Producer, Test Lead, or QA Manager
- Other duties/projects as directed
Qualifications/Skills Sets
- Actively plays games and is engaged with the modern gaming landscape
- Strong technical skills, such as computer networking or IT
- High proficiency in MS Office and database entry
- Strong grasp of proper English grammar both written and conversational
- Entry level Leadership aptitude

Education & Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree is preferred. Two or more years of solid testing experience is required.
