The Production Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of live streaming and broadcast projects for esports events and digital conferences. This includes managing relevant employees, setting deadlines, communicating with company executives about the state of the project, ensuring projects stay on track and on budget, and adjusting if necessary to meet new requirements.

Over the course of a project, the Project Manager will need to communicate with staff and clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of the project to keep it on schedule. Important duties and responsibilities for a Project Manager include:

• Create a project roadmap complete with tasks, due dates, staff roles, and details
• Manage the delivery of all assets such as stream overlays and video transitions to the production staff
• Maintain updates and communication with the event client
• Manage production talent, such as the event host or broadcast commentators
• Create a detailed timeline with delivery dates for all essential components of the broadcast
• On the broadcast day, act as the liaison between the production staff and the client’s event team
