Founded in 2002 we made our mark on the action-shooter genre, developing titles such as Painkiller, Bulletstorm, and Gears of War: Judgement. We are looking for an experienced, talented and passionate Gameplay Programmer who is able to rapidly prototype new gameplay features, as well as bring it to a high level of polish. You will be working closely with artists and designers, while also having a lot of creative freedom; therefore we expect this person to understand exactly what makes the game fun and what does not.

Job Description

  • Prototyping a new gameplay features
  • Coding for complex gameplay mechanics
  • Coding for level layout, event scripting, balancing, pacing, and tuning
  • Developing and maintaining the tools and systems necessary for implement gameplay features
  • Testing, debugging, profiling and optimizing implementations
  • Actively attending code review

Qualifications

  • Strong C++ knowledge and math skills
  • Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience
  • Minimum 2 years of game industry experience
  • Game designer's creativity
  • Keen analytical mind
  • Ability to write solid, reliable, efficient code
  • High work ethic
