The Paradox art department is ramping up, and we’re now looking for Senior 3D Artists that want to be part of working on a wide variety of 3D assets, as well as help out with driving the environment art vision.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior 3D artist with a broad skillset who could take on a variety of environment assets creation tasks, from world maps and historical buildings, to spaceships and alien creatures. Together with the art director and the art leads you will be helping out to set up and drive the art vision for the game you’re working on.
You will be creating terrain, buildings and prop 3D models, textures and materials for grand strategy games.Your work will also entail establishing pipelines, estimations, and milestones, coaching and mentoring other team members, as well as working with external development partners (writing briefs, regular communication and feedbacking, implementation of outsourced assets into the game engine).
Requirements
- Several years of environment art creation experience from the games industry
- Expert knowledge in Substance designer and Painter
- Strong skills in Maya/Max, Zbrush and Photoshop
- Knowledge of World Creator, World Machine or similar terrain generation software
- Ability to create, adapt, and iterate, within a variety of artistic styles
