Overtime is looking for an incredibly organized and creative storyteller to spearhead our PR and Communications efforts.

This person, who would serve as Overtime’s first in-house PR hire, will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall PR strategy, working closely with Overtime’s leadership and its marketing team.

The ideal candidate must be a strong writer and a quick thinker, with the skills to translate those thoughts into writing that’s clear, concise and persuasive. The ideal candidate also has strong existing media relationships and a proven ability to establish and cultivate substantive new media relationships.

The person in this role will develop and pitch news about Overtime to a wide variety of media covering the convergence of sports, media, and technology. In doing so, they will work on stories and announcements touching every aspect of Overtime’s business, from the launch of new series and brand campaigns to the growth of our team and our expansion into new sports, new markets, and new business ventures.

About Overtime

Based in NYC, Overtime is funded by top VC firms like Andreessen Horowitz, Spark Capital, Greycroft Ventures, and Sapphire Ventures, as well as athletes, including Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, and the late NBA commissioner David Stern. Overtime is building the biggest sports network in the world for the next generation of fans. We use tech, new platforms, and new formats to drive a billion video views every month. We publish our short-form content and long-form series across 7 platforms focusing on basketball, football, soccer, and gaming. We own a pro esports team, have a fast-growing apparel business, and basically do everything differently from a standard media company. Overtime is led by seasoned entrepreneurs with deep experience in the intersecting worlds of sports and media, and a strong track record of building successful startups and guiding them through acquisition.
