Overtime is hiring an experienced Senior Community Manager to join our team full-time in NYC. We’re looking for someone excited about Overtime who can connect with and continue to grow our amazing community of fans worldwide.

About Overtime

Based in NYC, Overtime is funded by top venture capital firms like Andreessen Horowitz and Spark and by industry leaders like Kevin Durant and NBA Commissioner Emeritus David Stern. Overtime is building the biggest sports network in the world for the next generation of fans. We use tech, new platforms, and new formats to drive a billion video views every month. We publish our short-form content and long-form series across 7 platforms focusing on basketball, football, soccer, and gaming. We own a pro esports team, have a fast-growing apparel business, and basically do everything differently from a standard media company. Overtime is led by seasoned entrepreneurs with deep experience in the intersecting worlds of sports and media, and a strong track record of building successful startups and guiding them through acquisition.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll be our first full-time community hire, so you’ll set HUGE goals and then hit ‘em
  • Strategically plan and execute all of Overtime’s community efforts
  • Work directly with our CEO, COO and Head of Social Media (plus social media managers and OT Influencers) to reach and engage with Overtime’s community across all of our social channels and in real life
  • Connect with our community daily by replying to comments, DMs and emails
  • Create and execute fun experiences for fans like social media giveaways and live events
  • Work directly with our Overtime Influencers (OT Larry, Chloe, Trey, Tom & more) to connect fans with our team online and in real life -- organize IG Live sessions, basketball games and much more

Who you are

  • You love Overtime
  • You like sports
  • You’re a quick thinker and very creative
  • You’re nice and probably funny
  • You have 2+ years of experience as a Community Manager — or a directly related social media or communications role
  • You GET Overtime’s vibe and how best to engage with our community of fans
  • Ideally, you’ve already successfully grown and managed a strong community of fans — or you managed communications and community building to mobilize another type of audience (political campaign etc.)
  • Excellent writer — grammar on point but you know when/how to break the rules to match OT’s style
  • You understand our voice and could write captions for our IG np
  • Detail-oriented, typos keep you up at night
  • Driven af and eager to work hard and do whatever it takes
  • Love to work in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize tasks and manage your own time
  • Comfortable working with all social platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Discord) and always down with new trends
  • You’re up late watching TikTok videos (jk kinda) and obsessing about creative ways to engage with our audience and create NEW fans whenever they are
  • Bonus if you have experience working with or volunteering with kids
  • Super Bonus if you speak multiple languages since we are rapidly growing worldwide
