In this role, you'll work closely with the production team and content team at Overtime to help with creating content that touches everything published on Overtime’s videos across platforms. The Associate Creative Producer will help innovate and evolve old video formats, while also bringing life to new concepts for short-form and long-form series. You’ll work directly with our emerging studio team, producing and executing daily shows revolving around our in-house talent.

We publish our short-form content and long-form series across 7 platforms focusing on basketball, football, soccer, and gaming. We own a pro esports team, have a fast-growing apparel business, and basically do everything differently from a standard media company. Overtime is led by seasoned entrepreneurs with deep experience in the intersecting worlds of sports and media, and a strong track record of building successful startups and guiding them through acquisition.
What you’ll do
- Research topics and write scripts for daily studio shows covering a range of sports including NBA, NFL, WNBA, NCAA and high school basketball and football
- Follow current events on nights and weekends for production early in the mornings
- Prepare field teams with creative plans for upcoming shoots and new formats for Overtime’s road shows like The Overtime Challenge and Lie Detector
- Submit brand-tailored ideas and creative for RFPs as the sales team receives them
- Create new content formats for studio and road shows as well as around events that Overtime hosts
Who you are
- You’re an outside-the-box thinker who’s bored with formats used by traditional media outlets
- You’re a die-hard sports fan who closely follows basketball (all levels) and football (all levels) on a daily basis
- Strong understanding of emerging social platforms such as Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat and Tik Tok
- Strong understanding of culture and topics that resonate with young audiences
- Ability to work within short deadlines and execute on the fly as news breaks
- Able to work some nights, weekends, and early mornings
- Experience writing or working in a studio environment
- Degree in journalism or RTF a plus
