Osmo is the first brand from Tangible Play Inc, a company founded in 2013 by former Google engineers Pramod Sharma and Jerome Scholler, now part of BYJU’s, the largest education technology focused platform in the world. By utilizing Tangible Play’s proprietary Reflective Artificial Intelligence, Osmo is a new “learning through play” movement based on critical thinking, reading, math, coding and art that is not only fun but also a rich learning experience for children aged three to ten.

Osmo launched in DACH in 2020 and we are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to develop and manage our social media channels in the German speaking region. The role is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2022, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent after this date. Reporting to the Regional Director, Sales, EMEA, the candidate will be able adapt quickly to continue the growth of our social media channels, work with local influencers, and plan the content in line with the general marketing calendar. This is a key hire within the EMEA team as Tangible Play scales rapidly during a high growth phase in the DACH Region..

The ideal candidate will be home based in Germany.

  • Oversee day-to-day management of German language campaigns and ensure brand consistency
  • Facilitate scaling brand and company awareness through various social media channels
  • Work with brand to create and implement social media strategies monthly
  • Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology
  • Manage all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company, and ensure a positive customer service experience
  • Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube
  • Ensure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and others
  • Oversee the creating and implementation of the monthly editorial calendar which includes monthly sales objectives and initiatives
  • Work with the US HQ influencer team in building German language micro influencer database to support the amplification key campaigns
  • Help identify local influencer trends or topics specific to German language markets
  • Ability to work with multiple departments globally in order to drive company goals in German language markets
  • Collaborate with the Social Media team in the US to ensure there is consistency in tone & look across brand

Requirements

  • Native German and Business-level English
  • 3-5 years of social media management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field
  • Strong computer skills, ideally good experience using google applications
  • General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content
  • Relevant experience determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach
  • Proficient in design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Premier, Illustrator and/or Canva
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of employees and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once
  • Proficient in Social Media Marketing tools and analytics like Buffer, Iconosquare, and Meltwater
  • Creative problem solver - solutions focused and able to confidently present new strategies and ideas to better the business
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into accurate actionable insights
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, the ability to engage at different levels of the business, be flexible in thinking and collaboration across the business
  • Work during early evenings required due to the time difference with headquarters in California
  • Startup experience is beneficial
