ORDER is Oceania’s premier gaming and esports organisation. Based in Melbourne, the company was founded in 2017 and has since gone on to be one of the regions winningest esports organisations. Currently ORDER has professional gamers competing in League of Legends, Counter Strike, Valorant, Rainbow Six and Fighting Games. In a first for the region, earlier this year ORDER took residency at our new facility in Collingwood Melbourne, which will feature the Alienware High Performance Room, Optus Broadcast Studio, Stream Suite, and administrative offices.

Position Summary/Objective

As ORDER evolves into a digital content and entertainment company, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Talent Manager with strong background in popular culture.

Taking point on ORDER’s first crew of content creators, this role is pivotal to the expansion of the organisation and will encompass identifying and acquiring content creators that align with our strategic position and path towards popular culture. Once the crew is onboard you will serve as their primary contact point for day-to-day activities and play a role in how they build and engage audiences.

As the Talent Manager, you will be supported by a team of creatives across creative direction, content management, videography, editing, graphic design and social, to ensure all content creators are provided the tools they require.

Experience is gaming is not necessary, and the ideal candidate is someone who has a cultural vision, connects with youth, and understands how to drive value from talent.

Note: This position is open to remote applicants, but applicants who are Melbourne-based or willing to relocate are preferred.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Act as the talent’s primary point-of-contact and be responsible for the management and execution related to supporting their businesses, brand relationships, and personal well-being.
  • Collaborate with ORDER’s creative team to support the management of and content creation across the talent’s channels as well as Order’s owned channels.
  • Develop bespoke strategies for individual creators that balance building their influence and leveraging their audiences for Order’s commercial objectives.
  • In partnership with the commercial team, devise a plan for monetisation of each individual creator.
  • Act as the barometer for how creators interact with their audience, and future trends to ensure the org and creators are ahead of the culture curve.
  • Support relationships with other organisations, partners, platforms, publishers, clients, and agencies with or on behalf of talent.
  • Work with our PR team to promote talent in strategic ways, including media opportunities and appearances.
  • Track social media metrics across platforms, including optimisation and performance analysis, and provide recommendations based on these insights.
  • Coordinate approved plans for travel, and maintain a calendar of all client/talent activities and all scheduled events.
  • When recruiting or managing creators, ensure alignment to ORDER’s values, mission, and purpose.

Competencies and Key Attributes

  • Experience at a talent agency, record label, athlete management, and/or Esports organisation with players, artists, creators and influencers is preferred but not necessary.
  • Deep understanding of talent marketing and content creation, demonstrated through previous successful end-to-end campaign management.
  • Some ability to present data and insights informing recommendations for new talent, trends, game titles and regions.
  • Track record of growing the audience reach and profile of creator talent.
  • Ability to understand, articulate and manage the content creator’s individual goals and motivations for the benefit of themselves and the org.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including identifying opportunities.
  • Time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task in a high paced environment to manage workload under tight deadlines.
