Job Summary

With an ever-increasing need of content surrounding our players and personalities, we are looking at increasing our videography staff to supplement it with an individual capable of high quality production as we explore narratives, and further our brand through captivating storylines. Much of this footage will take place “behind-the-scenes” as you encapsulate the work, mindset and feelings that goes into competing and most importantly: winning. In this role, you will be primarily focused on creative video projects, including original series, short-form content as well as concept development, production and post-production.

Your core skills:

  • You are a storyteller who can own a project from concept to completion, producing consistently superior results that add to the overall story of OpTic and meet all requirements
  • You are competent in various content forms, utilizing narrative, biopic, gameplay-focus, behind-the-scenes, and can identify the proper situation(s) for each
  • You are an editing wizard, turning raw footage into community-ready end products you are proud of
  • You understand the nuances of esports and the gaming industry, and can entertain our audience in a way that’s authentic to our brand

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional videography and editing experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar programs
  • Experience creating motion graphics and implementing them into content
  • Proficient with Sony camera workflows as well as other video, audio, and lighting equipment to get the highest quality results no matter the context or environment
  • Proficient in set design, dressing, and lighting
  • Experience implementing color correction best practices to deliver consistent and quality results
  • Willingness to work around dynamic schedules in order to ensure deadlines are met under all circumstances
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple ongoing projects and responsibilities
  • Ability to both give and receive valuable feedback
  • Ability to work as a part of a team as well as an individual
  • Willing to travel as content needs dictate
  • Bachelor’s or higher in Film Studies, Cinematography, or a related field is greatly preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with your Senior Producer, Strategic Partnerships Manager, and other team members to execute on their creative vision and direction
  • Produce concise plans, including storyboards and scripts, for content pieces to ensure that end products meet all key requirements and that resources are properly prepared and organized
  • Managing and communicating around your own projects and workload to ensure workflows are smooth and deadlines are met
  • Setting up and executing video shoots in a variety of environments and circumstances
  • Organizing footage using established archival processes and gathering footage across multiple sources for your projects
  • Utilizing a mix of footage, graphics, motion graphics, music, and your elite editing skills to put all the pieces together to produce outstanding and complete videos
  • Use various project management and communication tools to elevate the collaborative process
