We’re now ready to bring on a colorful, visionary, game-loving, social-media and video content-creating pro to be Oooh’s first Creative Director. The Creative Director will be responsible for designing and driving all areas touching Oooh’s content and brand strategies. You will be responsible for manipulating the creative levers to help turn Oooh into a household name. You will oversee creative direction across Oooh’s app platform, 3rd party integrations, social media and website properties. You will be the front-facing lead driving the groundwork on Oooh’s artwork, personality and voice.

Ideally, you’ve done it before. You have spent time owning creative development and/or strategy at a well-known social, video or gaming startup company. If you are right for this role you are deeply attuned to younger audiences’ tastes and culture today. If you can’t point to specific examples where youth audiences have been enthralled by your creative direction, this immediate position at Oooh isn’t quite right for you. There will be others, so stay tuned!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with the CEO to set the creative direction and ensure Oooh has a unique brand voice
  • Collaborate with our heads of Developer Ecosystems and Creator Partnerships to guide partners’ creative direction
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative systems for designing, testing and incorporating processes and learnings about how creative decisions are made and measured at Oooh
  • Collaborate with teams of designers, artists and freelancers to dream up or optimize captivating user experiences.
  • Ideate and help bring to life content concepts that leverage Oooh’s technology in a fun and exciting ways
  • Oversee editorial and curatorial decisions for promotions on the platform
  • Be Bold. This is a big idea, crossing new bounds, and our brand should reflect that.
  • Use experience. Make fast decisions and implement processes that can scale based on past analogs.
  • Know the audience. Understand youth culture and leverage data to inform design.
  • Be Scrappy. Be three creative steps ahead, and love working with sleeves fully rolled up

EXPERIENCE

  • Have worked as a Creative Director, Creative Producer or similar creative development role at another video game, social media, or mobile video platform, with experience that includes a focus on younger audiences.
  • 6-10+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Significant experience handling creative direction across multiple touchpoints (platform, social, advertising,etc) .
  • Have managed other creatives, artists, designers or developers.
  • Have managed or used internal Project Management Tools

  • Deep understanding of video game design, monetization mechanics, etc.
  • Familiarity in Unity UI
  • Experience managing creative for App Store, and UA optimizations
  • Artist, Illustrator, Animation or Video Editing experience
