Director, Ticket Sales & Box Office Operations for a newly formed holding company that will own the sports and entertainment assets of Washington, DC based entrepreneur Mark Ein including the Citi Open Tennis Tournament, a combined WTA International and ATP 500 professional tennis tournament, the Washington Kastles of World Team Tennis (WTT), the winningest team in WTT history, the Washington Justice, the newly-launched esports team representing Washington, DC, in the Overwatch League, and the Washington City Paper. The mission of our organization is to unite and inspire our region, bring together great communities of sports fans in the Washington area and around the globe, and build an iconic portfolio of sports and entertainment brands.

This position will lead ticket sales and box office operations for all three sports properties; manage the sale, renewal and distribution of tickets to all season ticket holders, luxury suite holders and premium box holders; be responsible for prospecting and selling new season ticket plans, luxury suites and premium boxes across all properties; provide sales reports and analytics to senior management; and manage box office operations and ticketing sales staff.

Desired Experience

5-7 years of premium ticket sales experience required with a demonstrated track record for generating leads and selling premium season ticket plans. Must be highly organized and detail oriented with strong analytic skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Mastery in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Ticketmaster is required.

Responsibilities

  • The key responsibilities across all three sports properties include:
  • Analyze internal data from customer activity and engagement to create price points and package offerings specific to current and prospective fans
  • Research, develop and close leads for new premium ticket sales including season tickets, luxury suites and premium boxes, including invoicing and collection of receivables.
  • Research, develop and close leads for new group sales, including invoicing and collection of receivables.
  • Oversee the timeline and execution of a renewal campaign for all existing season ticket holders, luxury suite holders and premium box holders including any seating upgrades, invoicing and collection of receivables.
  • Build and maintain each property manifest on Ticketmaster including the management of ticket holds and ticket holder accounts
  • Develop and maintain client database for all accounts via Salesforce software.
  • Oversee, train and motivate small seasonal sales team to generate new business and maintain/service existing ticket holders
  • Create and track promotional codes for sales team usage.
  • Oversee and execute ticket printing and mailing of season tickets, sponsor tickets and group tickets
  • Oversee Box Office and Will Call staff and daily operations during events with the goal of delivering exemplary customer service to all ticket holders
  • Pull sales and customer data from Ticketmaster Client site to update all sales tracking reports for senior management and marketing team.
  • Assist in other areas as needed throughout the year, including (but not limited to) attending certain promotional and other client events throughout the year.
  • Other duties as assigned by the executive management of the organization.

Position is full-time, year-round. Significant weekend and evening hours will also be required, including attendance at some/all Citi Open, Washington Kastles, Washington Justice and Washington City Paper games/matches/events. Compensation is dependent on experience and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. A standard benefits package and paid vacation time will be part of the compensation.
