Job Description

Omnidrone Game Studio is looking for engineers who want to join us and design tools for our creative teams. In this role, you will enable artists and designers to concentrate on the creative process of content authoring, ensuring they are empowered to efficiently create high quality visual assets. We want a person that enjoys working in a group, who has reinforced the values of communication, empathy, and collaboration

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement high quality development tools for the creation of art assets
  • Automate art content creation workflows and best practices
  • Communicate with other departments to develop and improve our asset creation pipeline
  • Write high quality code using a TDD approach
  • Maintain tools for performance, stability, and error-free operation
  • Identify and resolve pipeline issues and discover opportunities for improvement
  • Review code, data, and asset commits through various phases of development

What You Need

  • 3+ years experience and advanced understanding of CGI tools and pipelines
  • Detailed knowledge of 3D graphics and animation
  • Highly proficient in Python, Maya API, PyQt, Maya plugins and custom nodes.
  • Extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming and software architecture
  • Solid knowledge of one or more programming languages (C#, C++, Java, ...)
  • Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Passion for tool development - enabling others to have the best tools available
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment
  • Attention to detail, meticulous and organised working habits
  • Service-oriented attitude with an eye for efficiency
  • Able to communicate and collaborate well with artists
  • Good command of English

What Makes You a Rock-star

  • Previous experience as Technical Artist, Rigger, 3D Artist or Animator is a plus
  • Experience with one or more game engines is a plus
  • User interface (UI) design experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or related field, is a plus
