Job Description:

We are looking for talented engineers to join us and design tools for our creative teams. In this role, you will assist the art and production departments to enable artists to concentrate on the creative process of content authoring, building a pipeline that ensures the tracking and build process of assets from viewport to game. We want a person that enjoys working in a group, who has reinforced the values of communication, empathy, and collaboration.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement a highly iterative pipeline that ensures assets are tracked, built to spec, delivered correctly and promptly
  • Ensure the art production is perfectly tracked and optimized
  • Ensure that artists are not bogged down with repetitive processes
  • Communicate with any department to develop and adjust all aspects of the art pipeline
  • Identify and help resolve any framework or pipeline issues
  • Improve and optimize art content creation tools and workflows
  • Maintain the pipeline and tools for performance, stability, and error-free operation
  • Write high quality code using a TDD approach
  • Review code, data, and asset commits through various phases of development

What You Need

  • 3+ years experience and advanced understanding of CGI pipelines and tools
  • Detailed knowledge of 3D graphics and animation
  • Highly proficient in implementing production tools like Shotgun, Jira, TACTIC or FTrack
  • Highly proficient in Python, Maya API and PyQt
  • Experience with version control software like Plastic, GitHub, Perforce
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages (C#, C++, Java, ...)
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software architecture
  • Passion for pipeline and tool development
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment
  • Attention to detail, meticulous and organised working habits
  • Service-oriented attitude with an eye for efficiency
  • Able to communicate and collaborate well with all departments in a large team
  • Good command of English

What Makes You a Rock-star

  • Experience with one or more game engines is a plus
  • User interface (UI) design experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or related field, is a plus
  • Solid understanding of math involved in computer graphics is a plus
