The AR/VR team at Facebook is helping more people around the world come together and connect through world-class VR hardware and software. With global teams dedicated to VR and AR research, computer vision, haptics, social interaction, AR/VR is committed to driving the state of the art forward through relentless innovation. VR and AR's potential to change the world is immense — and we’re just getting started.As a Software Engineer in the AR/VR team, your work will delight users in VR, in real life, and through our mobile apps. You will have opportunities to work with the full stack of Oculus and Portal properties, including designing the front end, connecting with various teams to bring designs to life, and powering them using fast and scalable backend services. We are looking for a talented software engineer who is passionate about creating amazing user experiences and is excited about bringing the magic of AR and VR to our users.

  • Full stack web/mobile/VR application development with a variety of languages including but not limited to PHP, JavaScript, HTML, etc.
  • Create consumer products and features using internal programming language Hack
  • Implement web, mobile, or VR interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Work closely with our PM and design teams to define feature specifications and build products leveraging frameworks such as React, React Native, and React VR
  • Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back-end services
  • Build report interfaces and data feeds
  • 2+ years of programming experience
  • 2+ years of experience with web technologies: JavaScript, XHTML, CSS
  • 2+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL
  • B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with PHP and C++
  • Experience with React
