JOB SUMMARY
As part of NZXT’s Research & Insights team, you will strive to gain a deeper understanding of consumers, identify key insights, and influence our product roadmap. Our team is looking for an experienced UX Researcher to design and execute qualitative research. You will work closely with Product and Design to turn research findings into actionable insights to improve our products and gaming experiences. Your ability to select the appropriate research methodology, design research, analyze findings, and make recommendations, are critical to the success of this role. You are passionate about users and dive deep into understanding how each experience can impact our customers.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Meet with stakeholders to review research needs, goals, and objectives
- Plan, design, and implement research studies end-to-end, including selecting the best methodology
- Conduct usability studies and analyze consumer behaviors, identifying gaps and opportunity areas
- Facilitate focus groups, IDIs, usability studies, and concept testing
- Launch surveys, analyze results, and present findings
- Analyze primary, secondary and syndicated data sources to derive insights
- Implement research best practices
- Communicate and make recommendations across the business
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years experience in user experience research, design strategy, or primary & secondary research
- Experience with quantitative research (survey objective, design, analysis, sampling, statistics)
- Experience with different qualitative research methods (ethnographic interviews, IDIs, usability studies, observations, diary studies, and concept testing)
- Ability to analyze large internal or syndicated datasets
- Strong facilitation, relationship management, and project management skills

- Demonstrated understanding of UX research
- Expertise in selecting research methodology and managing research vendors
- Skilled at translating different data set types into compelling actionable insights
- A strong design-thinking mindset and familiarity with the product development process
- Ability to successfully work with teams across the company
- Must be a self-starter and excellent communicator
Good to have but not required
- Gaming industry knowledge or experience in consumer products preferred
- Master’s degree in Human Factors, Experimental/Cognitive Psychology, HCI, or related field/experience
- Ability to lead design thinking and ideation workshops
- Familiarity with usability testing tools such as usertesting.com or FocusVision
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Mode, Tableau, or Power BI
