What You'll Do

  • Set up, administer and support Atlassian Tools JIRA Service Desk and Confluence, geared towards business operations (not for software development).
  • Create development / testing version of Jira Service Desk to test new workflows and modifications to existing workflows.
  • Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA Service Desk setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests.
  • Create comprehensive JIRA Service Desk workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes etc.
  • Collaborate with managers planning and execution of assigned projects
  • Act as the primary lead for delivery and execution of services on assigned business
  • Troubleshoot, identify and resolve JIRA issues reported to you by the team
  • Select, install, configure, and test relevant JIRA plugins and add-ons
  • Develop and run training for groups of JIRA users and conduct classes on a regular basis
  • Audit, improve, and automate processes and workflows as needed
  • Manage user permissions and project roles for JIRA
  • Create and maintain detailed technical and user facing documentation

Who You Are

  • Background utilizing Agile framework (e.g. Scrum, Extreme Programming, Kanban).
  • 3+ years of experience with JIRA and Confluence as an administrator
  • Experience in a high-tech B2B environment a plus
  • Expert level experience creating custom Workflows, Issues, Fields, and Screens
  • Ability to integrate JIRA projects with Confluence Pages
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and share knowledge with contacts at all levels.
  • Skilled in developing collaborative relationships.
  • Experience and ability to design and run Jira training sessions.
  • Direct client experience required
