ESXL is the parent company of New York Excelsior (NYXL) - New York’s franchise in Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League. Building upon a successful inaugural season with the league’s best record, MVP, and a roster stacked with all-stars, we’re evolving ESXL into a broader, multi-team organization that will define the identity of New York esports.

We’re looking to add a Recruiter with expertise in digital and tech startups and a passion for video games to join our talented team of gaming, digital media, apparel, events, and tech veterans in our New York City office. What You'll Do

Reporting to the Head of People, our Recruiter will have full-cycle ownership of talent acquisition, driving our ability to hire and engage the very best talent. You will:

  • Craft proactive recruiting and sourcing strategies based on competitive intelligence
  • Build partnerships with hiring managers and provide advice and coaching throughout the recruitment process
  • Develop networks and our employer brand in social media and presence in the game community locally and nationally
  • Lead candidate interviewing, selection, and negotiation
  • Negotiate job offers to select candidates in partnership with hiring managers and company leadership
  • Participate in compensation benchmarking and strategy building
  • Balance efficiency with agility when building processes

Who You Are

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field with 3+ years of recent and high-performing recruiting experience in a digital startup company
  • Educated in recruitment compliance at the state and federal levels
  • Experience screening candidates including salary discussion and ensuring their process is as smooth, efficient and enjoyable as possible
  • Ability to craft compelling and appropriate job ads and verbal pitches for a broad range of roles and audiences
  • Very comfortable in using technology to get things done
  • Familiar with talent acquisition metrics and their uses
  • Experienced with obtaining and leveraging competitive intelligence
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and expand skill set and a positive attitude!
