Andbox, the organization behind New York Excelsior (NYXL) is looking for a Contract-based video editor and content creator for gameplay footage.

Andbox is New York’s esports organization, beginning with the successful launch of NYXL, New York’s franchise in Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League. With the league’s best record, MVP and a roster stacked with all-stars, NYXL was a gold standard in the Overwatch League's inaugural season. Now begins the evolution of NYXL into a broader, multi-team house of brands that will define New York’s esports identity, beginning with our second team, for Call of Duty.

What You'll Do

This person will be responsible for capturing NYXL gameplay footage across stream and competitive match and delivering social friendly assets in a timely and professional manner.

During gameday they will monitor all feeds from Twitch and individual players with the intent of capturing highlights and key moments for use on NYXLs and Andbox social channels.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Editing together ‘highlight reels’
  • Working within Blizzard’s “replay system” to pull out key, game changing moments to create interesting and engaging social content.
  • Establishing and building a content library of highlights from in-game and in-stream feeds.
  • Basic animation skills are required for graphics and branding

Who You Are

  • 2+ years on AfterEffects & Premiere
  • Understands esports, particularly the nuances of an Overwatch game
  • Knows best practices on major social media platforms: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube
  • Basic animations skills for graphics and branding
  • Experience within Activision Blizzard's new replay system
  • Overwatch League diehard fan, extra points for NYXL fans
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and expand skill set and a positive attitude!
