NXT UP Esports operates virtual esports camps for youth players. Through competition, practices, and games, the camps teach players in-game fundamentals as well as character development and life skills that allow them to succeed outside of the game. At NXT UP Esports, our goal is to prove that video games can improve people's self esteem, foster lifelong friendships, and enhance communities.

We are looking for passionate coaches that view gaming the same way we do and want to teach these lessons to young players.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage up to 12 players in a one week practice
  • Offer constructive feedback and positive mentorship to players
  • Foster relationships with between players on their teams
  • Create a fun, social, learning environment for players each week
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication between the players, team and league administrators
  • Work with league administration on practice curriculum and lessons
  • Help to arrange weekly competitions
  • Offer feedback and guidance to league administration on how to improve the program

Qualifications

  • Experienced in Rocket League
  • Experience coaching or mentoring
  • Experience or involvement with collegiate esports program is a plus

Important Details for Coaches

  • Camp is June 20-24
  • Five days per week from 9am-12pm PST
  • Coaches must submit to a background check before being hired
