We are looking for a QA Test Developer Engineer to join Mobile QA Group. This position will be a part of a dynamic engineer’s team that is passionate about testing and maintaining high quality standards of products developed using NVIDIA’s Tegra SOC. These products are validated with variety of operating systems viz. Linux/Any proprietary OS/Android etc.

What you will be doing:

  • Build test strategy, detailed, and well-structured test cases and test plans based on high-level customer requirements for Tegra SOC based platforms & execute those periodically.
  • Actively participate in reviews and provide feedback on product feature requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
  • Testing a wide variety of software features developed for customer platforms based on Tegra SOC.
  • ​Writing bug reports and working closely with our team of engineers to triage, test, and verify fixes.
  • Interact with various team including project management, hardware, and software developers, provide technical analysis of the Top Bugs filed and periodically publish statistical data reports to all stakeholders.
  • Contribute to improve overall process, quality of products.
  • Application development, test tools and automation of tests for the Tegra Platforms using NVIDIA test framework.

What we need to see:

  • B. Tech. or Equivalent degree in CS/CE/IT/ECE/EEE or equivalent experience
  • At least 2+ years of professional experience in software validation preferably in the field of ARM SOC based Linux/Android products, End to End product validation for game console devices etc.
  • Excellent programming skills in python and should be able to design and code from scratch.
  • Good experience in Multimedia, viz. various video decoders like MPEG2, H264, H265, JPEG etc. and the impact of the frame structure, encoding parameters like bitrate, frame rate, frame intervals, video compression techniques, various encoding formats and containers.
  • Good debugging skills. Able to understand different logs and the root cause of the issue.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to tackle issues on Linux/Android/Any proprietary OS based platforms.
  • Experience to use Configuration Management tools (Git, Perforce) and Agile scrum tools (JIRA, JAMA).
  • Ability to self-manage, show leadership, good analytical skill and communicate well.
  • Should be an excellent teammate, with passion for new technology/trends.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge of developing, porting, validating, and debugging Linux device drivers, boot loaders, board support package (BSP).
  • Experience in GFX viz. different rendering techniques, display parameters, graphic processing techniques, shaders, and clusters.
  • Any certification course on Machine learning.
