We are now looking for a Software Engineering Manager!
You will lead and contribute to development, cadence and quality of software engineering in GeForce Now. You will grow your team both in size and skill. We need you to demonstrate a proven understanding of software development principles, tool chaining and automation along with a willingness to work collaboratively and remotely, with other teams, to accomplish complex goals.

You should have experience influencing decisions cross-organizationally and leading processes to meet multiple objectives. You should be passionate about finding opportunities for process improvements and automation with a goal to drive quality up and speed of execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead a team of software engineers. Plan tasks, hold code and design reviews, deploy service updates.
Own the development and evolution of multiple GeForce NOW services.
Code! Design and implement scalable cloud-based systems for SaaS/PaaS.
Collaborate with engineers on other teams to meet joint objectives based on requirements.
Build and lead your teams’ strategic and tactical plans.
Experience with cloud native deployment practices.

What We Need To See

BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent program from an accredited University/College; Have 10+ years of software development or equivalent experience; 5+ years of experience in designing and architecting microservices across multiple product areas.
3 years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience.
Track record of experience with designing, prototyping, building and running best-of-breed Cloud Services (SaaS; large scale distributed systems).
Strong knowledge of Java or C++.
T he ability to still code on a daily basis and contribute their technical expertise in a hands on manner.
Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

Working knowledge in container and container management technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, DC/OS).
Demonstrate use of out-of-box thinking for creative solutions to highly sticky problems.
Experience with data management and data integration technologies (Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, other) is desired.
