We are looking for a Senior Systems Software engineer to join a team of highly skilled and motivated engineers who bring GeForce Now to the leanest of consumer devices. Our goal is to develop highly optimized WebRTC based streaming to achieve ultra low latencies and smooth streaming to browsers on a range of consumer devices. Now, are you passionate about driving streaming technology to its edge, can you see through JavaScript applications all the way down to the browser internals? Then, we are keen to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Drive end-to-end software development cycle for new features in WebRTC based or custom streaming stack using agile development methodologies
  • Design and develop with an emphasis on performance, security and reliability
  • Optimize performance for target browsers, client OS
  • Define and develop performance indicators, analyze and improve product perf
  • Work across software layers including browser and WebRTC internals to achieve top streaming performance
  • Collaborate with WebRTC and browser developer communities to incorporate fixes and updates that enable Nvidia to build differentiating features and performance
  • Be an active participant in review and contribute actively to quality of designs and code in the team
  • Contribute to the evolution of team processes and methodologies

What we need to see

  • Highly proficient in C++, JavaScript, web technologies
  • Expertise in Chromium internals such as input handling and rendering engine
  • Familiarity with platform and browser performance analyzer tools
  • Experience in performance and footprint optimization for different browsers and devices
  • Expertise in WebRTC stack and developing WebRTC based streaming for latency-sensitive interactive applications on browsers
  • Experience in tuning WebRTC performance and QoS for one or more applications
  • Excellent system software programming, white box testing and debugging skills
  • 6+ years of experience with above technologies
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related areas

How can you stand out from the crowd

  • You love gaming!
  • Experience developing highly performance applications for Chrome/ ChromeOS
  • Experience with developing and supporting live consumer product/ service on multiple client platforms such as windows, MAC, Android, iOS
  • Familiarity with telemetry and visualization tools, using data analysis to tune product performance and improve reliability
