As a Data Architect, you will be a member of NVIDIA’s Digital Marketing platform innovation team. You'll be providing data knowledge leadership, architecting relational and non-relational databases and data pipelines, and build foundation for developing applications at scale. Using Agile methodologies to design a 360-degree view of our customers that help improve customer experiences for both our consumer (GeForce.com) and enterprise businesses (NVIDIA.com). If you have a passion for innovation and driving amazing experiences based on integrating / managing large data sets, we are looking for you. You are comfortable working on complex data platforms, developing core marketing and ecommerce tech stack and the core data management platform. Ability to work under a minimal amount of supervision and act as a problem solver and be a standout colleague who knows how to work, think and learn as a team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide data leadership to the data teams and systems architects and builds partnerships with cross-discipline team members
  • Prepares specifications, designs, data models and diagrams from which relational / non-relational databases can be developed
  • Develops, tests, and deploys data structures using Entity Relationship Diagramming, and data modeling tools
  • Designs, builds and tunes complex solutions; monitors system performance and recommends and develops means for improvement
  • Participates in teams to define design and development standards, troubleshoots incidents surrounding supported databases (AWS Aurora MySQL, RedShift, Data Lake, etc.) and solutions, and tunes performance of complex databases, ETL processes and queries
  • Analyze current data designs to optimize and provide structural improvements to handle the growth of the business
  • Coordinate with data science and business systems teams to identify future needs and requirements to aggregate large data sets spanning various business units

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Scientist providing leadership on design, architecture and implementation of data solutions (relational, non-relational), data pipelines and flows.
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles for relational and non-relational databases, and expertise in SQL and Data warehousing concepts
  • Firm believer of data driven decision making, and extensive experience developing for high/elastic scalable, 24x7x365 high availability digital marketing or ecommerce systems
  • Hands-on experience with data compute, storage, and security components and using Cloud Platform (preferably AWS) provided Big Data technologies
  • Hands on experience with real time streaming processing as well as high volume batch processing, and skilled in Advanced SQL, Amazon S3, Apache Kafka, Data-Lakes, etc.
  • Experience in migrating workload from on-premise to cloud, and cloud to cloud migrations
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills, have a hunger to learn, and the ability to operate in a self-guided manner in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Hands-on Experience in Big Data technologies - Hadoop, Hive and Spark
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Kibana)
  • Experience on working with technologies such as Kibana/Elastic, MuleSoft
  • Exposure to ML “Machine Learning” concepts
