Novaquark currently develops Dual Universe, an ambitious and continuous single-shard sandbox MMORPG. Taking place in a vast Sci-Fi universe, the game focuses on emergent gameplay with player-driven in-game economy, politics, trade, and warfare. Players can freely modify the voxel-based universe by creating structures, spaceships, or giant orbital stations, giving birth to empires and civilizations. The company developed several proprietary technologies like its innovative Continuous Single-Shard Cluster (CSSC) server solution, as well as a state-of-the-art voxel engine and procedural generation tools. Dual Universe successfully ran the 3rd largest worldwide Kickstarter campaign for a video game in 2016.

**Responsibilities: **

  • Help grow and nurture the English-speaking Dual Universe community by directly engaging with players (especially official Forums and Discord in the English sections, collegially on Reddit and YouTube)
  • Share game announcements with the Community in line with Novaquark’s overall communications strategy.
  • Maintain Community FAQs, Guidelines and rules.
  • Monitor and report on Community feedback and online reviews on the English-speaking Market.
  • Help in online/offline events to boost Community activity.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to ensure communication consistency.
  • Track English-speaking influencers/VIPs and interact with them when necessary.
  • Communicate with the Development team to stay up to date on new game features.
  • Build positive relationships with Dual Universe players and potential players.
  • Stay aligned with the rest of the Community Management and Live Operations Teams as well as the Moderation Staff on the Forum and Discord to ensure consistency.

**Requirements: **

  • At least 3 years of proven work experience as a Community Manager in video games, preferably on community-driven franchises and/or games.
  • Experience in launching community initiatives (e.g. launching or maintaining a Referral program, creating polls on popular topics, writing an email newsletter, etc).
  • Be strongly teamwork-oriented with other Community Managers.
  • (internal team communication is mandatory)
  • Native level English speaker, and excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to keep your cool, and quick to react in a crisis situation in the Community.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of Sandbox MMO games (like EVE Online or Elite: Dangerous) is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of Kickstarter projects, their usual constraints/challenges and being able to adapt the communication according to this kind of contest is a big plus.
  • A real taste for Sci-Fi and good pop-culture knowledge would be appreciated as well.

Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and can develop engaging content. You should be a ‘people person’ with great empathy and customer service skills and can moderate online and offline conversations with our community. You should also have great teamwork skills, to act consistently with other Community Managers on various tasks.
